To copy/paste between FASTX and your local computer. That is why instead of the web version of FASTX just install the desktop client ( ). I never figured out how to copy text from your local computer into FAST sessions when using the web browser version of FASTX (it's kind of hacky, see here). Copy/paste in FASTX is a bit different from mac/pc. Set it up like this, then you can connect to thalamege and open text files through atom:Ĭopy and pasting within FASTX sessions and between FASTX and your local computer. In atom, under "preferences", install the custom package "ftp-remote-edit". This is usually easier than edit files on thalamege using gedit. It is useful to open a text editor on your local computer, and edit files "remotely" saved on thalamege. To stop this, open a Mate (VirtualGL) session and It is really annoying to have thalamege lock every 5 minutes.
